My family loves ichiran ramen, had it in Tokyo and eaten it again here. One of the best ramen in Japan in our opinion. In this shop, they have a four seat room to accomodate which is unique, different from other branches.
A few seats on the first floor (not sure if they have a second level). There are English intructions as well. You can enjoy the Ichiran feels for real.
Fresh ramen made to order you can get even past midnight, they're open until around 4am if I'm not mistaken. Service is quick and food is just awesome. Make sure to add the boiled egg and mushroom to the ramen. Try their greentea pudding too, silky smooth with strong greentea flavor. They get busy the later it gets, I heard Japanese people like to get some ramen after they go for a drink or karaoke.
A unique Japanese dining experience, worthy of a visit for both food and dining atmosphere. Very simple booth style private dining
Great Ramen! Frequent spot whenever I'm in Nagoya.
Excellent food and service, easy to order and reorder.
Ichiran is a ramen chain specialising in pork broth soup and their unique selling point is that you can customise your ramen however you want - richness of soup, thickness of noodles, etc. You specify your ramen on a form and then order from a vending machine. Get the slips and then wait for an empty booth (not table) and pass it to the chef. Also, all customers sit on their own booths separated from each other and they will open a retractable window to serve you your ramen. It is quite the experience, especially if it is your first time. Their ramen is really good and the soup is very tasty and the noodles are springy and well cooked. The pork is thinly sliced and tender. I would recommend adding additional egg, noodles if you are hungry and pork if you just want more of that delicious goodness! It is very reasonably priced too for the quality of ramen they provide. Be prepared to queue though, as it is highly popular with both locals and tourists.
the ramen bowl looks simple but it tastes rich and delicious this’s the best ramen I have ever eaten so far
Big time noodles nice
Always our first choice of Laman
You know a ramen is good when you can see the words on the bottom of the bowl. Love the soup with their premium vinegar!
One of the better ramen joints. Safe option if you are not adventurous to try other restaurants that are in the vicinity. Taste doesn't fluctuate much from the other branches that's all over Japan.
One of the best place for ramen.
The staff can speak Chinese, and the service is very good. The user experience design is excellent- coat hang on the back, bags put on the top, if you want to order more, you can see the choice from chopstick bag. There is only one kind of ramen you can choose, and other side dishes. Ramen is really good.
Unique ramen eating experience!
The waitress is nice. We could order according to our preference. Though it is small in size, all could seat comfortable. I appreciate it.
Good place for good ramen, if only it wasn't too crowded.
Legit place to get your Ramen! This is ramen-liscious! Served hot. With what you've checked on the paper. The matcha pudding was exceptional!! I should've ordered 2 if only I knew.Small place, but people come and go to try this ramen. The meat was good and smooth. The soup is amazingly good. Perfection! It was pricey, but worth it.
It's hard to believe that anyone would give this place less than 4 stars. If you are not familiar with the model it may be offputting but the aim is the food. it's a highly utilitarian design both in service and optimisation of space. The target seems to be the commuter or those wanting something delivered fast, but despite this the food is quite good. They offer their menu in English as well, and the only complaint I would have is that the chairs are a bit too close to the bar. As someone who is 6'2" (180cm) it's a pain on the knees. No one else seems to have this problem though
Good food , delicious big bowl of ramen. Two thumbs up. Small place n space is at a premium.
Very friendly tiny place. Big selection of different Ramen. Very delicious!
Staff were so friendly and helpful. Noodles were great as usual.
This is super popular with tourists. I think the ramen is decent but nothing over the top.
It is phone booth ramen. Not for socializing... but amazing for simply eating amazing ramen!!! Will provide noodle refill for 190Â¥!!! So good!
Chill and cozy place.
Ramen place . Quiet setting
Go to ramen house chain in Japan.
Standard has dropped (maybe its the branch?) But overall still good. Will recommend the extra firm noodle texture and extra pork (charsiew) A little pricey but good taste
Love this ramen
The experience was nice since you had your own private space to eat your ramen, but there were not enough noodles in the bowl just to get you to pay an extra for more noodles. The broth was quite ok, but I've tasted better in local ramen shops. Kind of overhyped
The menu is in English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. To order you fill out a preference sheet for your ramen. Then you can go inside and pay at the vending machine for your items (Ramen, beer, rice, extra toppings, etc.) Once you pay the machine gives you a ticket. The staff will tell you your seat number, once you sit, you give your ticket to the staff member and after a few minutes, voila, your custom ramen is ready.Water is available for free. 9/10 tasteAverage price is ¥1000
Ramen with Donkoch(pig bone broth). It taste good and unique. A format in English, Chinese and Korean language is convenient to order.
As delicious as expected!
Very easy dining experience. Don't need to know any Japanese to order, staff were kind and accommodating and the ramen was delicious - I especially enjoyed the pork broth
Being lost is not always a bad thing. Sometimes it leads you to unexpected finds, like stumbling upon this hyped ramen chain. I was going around in circles looking for the bus station when I remembered a branch of Ichiran was in the neighborhood, based on research I made the day before. After some false leads I saw it.After coming down the stairs from the entrance, I placed my order through a machine. It only starts to work when you insert your money ☺. I then entered the main restaurant where I sat in one of the narrow partitioned seats, each facing a window. I ticked off my preferences and then buzzed for my waiter.Verdict: most well balanced ramen I ever tasted. Must try
a must visit every time I am in Sakae
Fair noodles, fair soup. Nice meat. I visit here because Ichiran is famous, but i think this is the last time i visit.
One of the best ramen shop in japan. Instant ramen also available for take away
Least queuing ever
Great to eat at alone or with someone else. All ordering is done without human interaction so the experience is anxiety free
It was more of a tourist experience than a true ramen restaurant. The broth had a little bad aftertaste and the noodles tasted lower quality. The staff was nice and the atmosphere was interesting. Okay for 1 visit, but there are better ramen options in town.
Experience was amazing, I got the rich broth with firm noodles this ramen was outstanding. The pork was so tender and fatty it just falls apart. Overall would visit again (I already have).
Raining day, ramen time. You can choose your 're flavor.
Absolutely magnificent. Best of the best.
It was a fun place to eat and take a break. The service was good and they were very helpful. The noodles themselves are thin and I recommend getting the set that comes with a refill of noodles. Additional things can be bought as needed. Quality of the food was good.
Simple ramen with great soup. Staff are friendly and nice. Highly recommend to those who would like to visit this shop, please come early in order to avoid huge queue during dinning time.
One of the best Ramen🜠in the world
It's a definitely authentic tonkotsu ramen experience i ever had.
Good ramen. This place is extremelly convenient for loners, shy people and thos wgo don't enjoy speaking. Every order can be made by filling in forms, there are many options to customize your ramen (noodles, broth, spicyness, amount of fat and richness of taste...).
